Living Earth With Mr. Clark
My name is Cooper Clark and I teach a class called "Living Earth" at Las Lomas and Acalanes High Schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been teaching High School Science for 20+ years and integrating technology into my instructional practice has always been a passion of mine. I have found that engaging students with technology enhances academic performance, motivation, and provides a pathway for increased engagement with the topics covered throughout the year.
This website is acting as a profile of my work while earning a Masters of Science in Educational Technology from California State University- East Bay.
At the core of this project is the desire to inform more educators how to implement online formative assessments into daily their daily instructional practice. The website is divided into three sections :

-
Effective Use of Online Formative Assessments-For Teachers: Learn how to create, implement, and analyze online formative assessments using Pear Deck and Quizizz which can increase student engagement and motivation.
-
Photosynthesis and Respiration-For Students: In this section students engage with text, videos, and interactive games that focus on the structure and function of cells and specifically photosynthesis and respiration.
-
Digital Science Notebook-For Students: In this section students engage with text, videos, and Flipgrid as they learn how to investigate natural phenomena through a scientific lens by using the Digital Science Notebook.
